I Got the call twice from this number to my mobile phone within a week. First time its disconnected as soon as I picked the call. Second time someone spoke with me and verified my name by telling the name correctly and asking that have I met with a road accident and claiming. I have replied my name is correct but I didn t met any accident and applying claims. Had a feeling this was ADT, haven t confirmed it but the comments seem to strongly indicate ADT. On top of the 0161 code. Just rang now at 3.19 in the morning, about five to six rings before I d even got to it, and then stopped. Alarm not going off, and it is for our house so would like to know why they rang in the wee hours when we re sleeping.

this Indian woman rang me and for over three minutes told me that she was ringing to prevent any nuisance calls to my number in the future. I told her she was being a nuisance.... and she kept telling me that she was from the anti nuisance call line of the UK... that was the extent of the conversation. Felt like it was a Bart Simpson style prank call.

Today 12.11. 1.35pm have received a call from this number. Scottish Power guy start asking questions about who is my supplier for gas and energy and trying to persuade me to switch for saving money. The very noisy background at the other end and too many questions made me feel very suspicious. Hung up the phone and added the number to my blocked numbers list.

They called and said it was a confidential matter and wanted my details so I asked for the companies name but refused to give it as this would prejudice the situation so I advise that their is no provision within the DPA 1988 which states that they are not allowed to disclosed their details prior to me disclosing mine.
