I just received a call from this number with a recorded message which stated that the caller was from HMRC and that a tax fraud case had been reported against my name (but did not say my name) and if I did not press 1 immediately, a warrant would be issued and I would be arrested. It is quite obviously a scam. DO NOT PRESS 1.

Knew was a scam.Decided to press 2 to speak to agent.Agent responded as if I had called in,I explained I had been called & he could tell me why.He confirmed the transactions on the automated message.I asked which bank, asian male advised Barclays, & that he needed me to confirm my full name. I advised he already had that information,

i have had a phone calls from this company for the last three days.
SCAM Had the name of the person who had my number a decade ago. Told me that person had given them this number when bought a washing machine in 2018. When I pointed this out they hung up so I could not find out the nature of the scam. But number could have been spoofed.
I received a call from this number last night. When I answered they hung up. They have just tried to call me again. I didn t answer but then called the number back and was greeted by a recorded message with an American accent asking me not to hang up because my call is very important to them . No idea who or what this is, but i m certain it s not trustworthy!
