Dropped what I was doing & raced downstairs to answer persistent call. Man with an unidentifiable accent garbled something against a cacophony of background noise sounding like the Call Centre from Hell. I asked him to repeat his sentence. He said " can I speak to the owner of the business?" Puzzled, I said " business?" At which point he rudely disconnected the call. Have had numerous calls from this number. Rings off before I answer. Phoned back and just a buzzing noise. I understand it is a Nottingham number but I don't know anyone in Nottingham.
Was sure that it was a Canadian cousin then accepted it wasnt. Asked for £9.00 odd etc etc due to bill , didnt make any sense. SCAM / SPAM Amazon prime account scam. I don’t know how many phone numbers they try this on, but this is the latest. An automated call saying problems with Amazon prime account. I don’t have a prime account.
Asked for a person by name but wouldn't say where they were calling from. Claimed it was about a personal matter and kept evading the question when asked where they were calling from.

Text message received about an order from Argos, telling you to call the mobile number if isolating.
Scam call purportedly from bank advising of fraudulent credit card transactions which they are blocking. The caller wants you to input a code which they text to you. DO NOT DO SO. If you do they will, no doubt, get access to your account. I put a block on the call number via my mobile phone provider and sent an email to the bank's security dept informing them of the scam.
SCAM claimed to be from my internet provider regarding slow broadband speed. Started asking questions re the status of my modem. When asked for their number and I would call them back , the caller hung up.
