Very fishy number. They called me but the person on the phone was a recorded message telling me to call them back. It also said if I disregarded the message I could face legal consequences. Surely, if it was that serious, a real person would be talking to me and not some recorded message. Based on the other review of that number, I won’t be called back.

These people repeatedly call phishing for information stating that they are calling about a car accident. Maybe some poor souls they call talk about an accident they may/ may not have had and pass on personal details. It appears to be a scam and the only way to avoid them calling is to block their number. They called my number >10 times over past 6 months and have never taken it off their system. FYI I was never in a car accident.

Yes, they are still operating and looks like they are having a New Year hunt for more people to con, as several friends have had calls from them over the past few days. I take great delight in stringing them along for as long as possible, listening to them get more and more frustrated as I keep asking questions about their blocking box . Fraud: Pretends to be from HSBC Bank sending a text that someone has been authorised to receive a payment from your account. However HSBC Bank (if you have an account with them) don't give out their numbers when they call or text their customers. Also HSBC don't use this form of security check ( text warnings to set up a new payment from your a/c). The objective is probably to defraud you of your money by gaining access to your bank account - or to use the link in the message to instigate a virus infection.

Phoned my Dad with the same Microsoft rubbish quoting a serial number and saying that they would disable his computer, my Dad hung up but they rang straight back. He told them to go ahead and try to disable the computer but nothing happened. He asked for the guy s name and number and he said he was Peter Connor and quoted this number. Someone must be able to track down these scum, wherever in the world they are and lock them up!

The caller gave this number saying they were from Google about my entry on google maps and that they were going to help me fix the problem I had to get customers to find me. There s nothing wrong with my entry. So I played along and when asked for my name said it was George Bush. Apparently I should get a call back later today as I said I was too busy. Beware, this is just usual scam.
