Call about the latest 'bank scandal', apparently the company can claim money back to 1980 for misspelling, bad charges etc. I imagine that if it's similar to PPI, this is something you can do yourself.
Received text warning me of impending fraud and to ring asap. when you ring the number it asks you continuously to enter your sort code and account number instead of putting you through to an operator. Obvious fraud attempt.

I called Barclays on 03457 345 345 only to be told this numbers has switched to 0345 600 45 40. I called this number and followed the exact same instructions that you would normally be asked only something didn't feel quite right about it. I called back the 03457 345 345 number which worked this this time and spoke to a gentleman on the Fraud team who advised me this was not one of their numbers and this was most definitely a fraud attempt. Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 3334439xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with accident claims, insurance management, PPI and pensions - just another call centre. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new? I really don't answer unknown numbers and don't want to call them back...
