Called by a Welsh lady saying they were handing out free grants for loft insulation -- did I have loft insulation? I immediately smelt a rat & asked who was calling. She simply said "a grant company". I asked what their name was. She was very evasive but eventually said "Nationwide Energy." I asked what their address was but said she didn t know(!). I have been receiving daily calls from this number for about 2 weeks and every time I pick up the receiver the call terminates.

As in the other comment I was told to ring 01642850850 - this is useless. It asks you to give the name of the person and offers no other option. Since I don t know who called I was at a dead end

Phone call in connection with insurance services.

Cold call. Told the woman that she should not be calling as I subscribe to telephone pref service. This objection swept aside. Claimed to be from Microsoft and that my computer has been hacked. Became more forceful as I voiced suspicions. I ended call.

Said I have your file and used my first name. About the accident you had. Sorry over 30 years no claims don`t think so. Frightening being called by first name and its a scam. Threated them with a bigger accident and they hung up.

Scam call asking for details of my lawyer, for tax default. Claimed to have written to me and wanted details from me. I didn t give them any of my details, they said because I wouldn t give them my information the police would be round my house in a couple of hours to arrest me. Person on the phone did not speak very good English as was definitely not from the HMRC.

The caller didn t give her name even though I asked. She said she wanted to speak to Mrs (name not understood) when I asked her to repeat I still didn t know who she was asking for, but for sure not my name. I said she had a wrong number and she hung up.

This number rang me saying I had been in an accident last year and my number was on the accident database. The guy called Jason then said there was an unclaimed payment due to me from the otherside s insurance company. I ve had no accident and no one owes me any money. I hate these calls!!!
