Don't know who called me from this number. I jumped out of bed when the phone rang but I didn't pick up as I didn't recognise the number. It was 7:36 am ffs! Even the sun was still in bed where I live in Greater Manchester and I do't even know where Thanet is, never mind why someone from there would be phoning me at an ungodly hour. I highly suspect this was a scam call.

SCAM It's a call from "Microsoft" stating hackers have been attacking my windows machine. I managed to keep the guy on the call for 4 minutes until he realised I was wasting his time when he asked if I'd seen event view before... I work in software development, hopefully wasting his 4 minutes stops another person falling for underhand tactics.

This was the latest false number used by the criminals to tell me I needed to co-operate with them because my internet connection was failing - after four similar calls (all using different numbers) yesterday. I was busy. This call did not get answered.

I blocked this number after reading on a number of sites that they are a market research company. Don t believe their story that they do not have to comply with data screening /TPS lists etc. I do not think that their excuse we are not a marketing/sales company should excuse these people from TPS lists and private numbers They are unsolicited / cold callers. Amazon scam from Asian call centre. Supposed fraudulent transaction on my Amazon account. Asked me to give six number code sent to me in SMS from Amazon - This was my two step verification code to change my password. All they need to get this sent to you is your Amazon account linked phone number. I did of course refuse.
