I have just received a phone call on my home phone from this number. a voice (American i think) informed me they were from Amazon and that my payment of £39.99 would be taken . If I wanted to stop payment I would have to press a number on my phione keypad. I disconnected immediately and looked up the number on Google and came to this site.

We got a call from this number at 2.20am which woke us up with a fright. Recorded message saying ‘Can you hear me?’ And no response when sleepily replied. Really annoying - couldn’t get back to sleep afterwards for hours. No idea what the purpose of it was.

Claimed to be postcode lottery. I apparently won a prize and they had my name and asked to confirm my sort code and account number also. I was able to find information from the postcode lottery website that was very helpful and when I challenged the caller, they hung up. Please be aware, as this seems likely to be a scam. I’ve never signed up for the postcode lottery, so couldn’t have won anything from them.
Answered the mobile, as was expecting a call from a friend on a new number. Got an automated male voice, telling me it was from the national crime agency…..that was enough for me. Fraud - ignore all calls. This number called my grandmother today to say that she had been fraudulent and would be arrested if she did not comply. They will give you the ‘option’ to press 1 to sort it out. Highly recommend to ignore all calls and if you can add it to your block list. (01332846724)
