This number called me 9.12.2022 told me it was BT and advised other people were using my internet connection and were doing so for bad purposes. Wanted me to turn on my computer so they could sort it out and stop the problem.
I received a phone call frim this number. stating the obreviation PDCD not the full name of the company. They asked me to call back. They did not mention any reason, why will I call them back!

Scam caller claiming to be from Virgin. The call was made by an official sounding call centre (the woman sounded Indian). She claimed that there has been suspicious activity from unknown IP addresses using my account and that it was being used for criminal activity and that she needed to help me protect my firewalls etc. I immediately became suspicious as I'd heard of such calls being made and told her that I'd call Virgin directly to resolve any issues. Automated message supposedly to be from my bank about charges to my account, the first for £700. I hung up as sure it's a scam. My bank doesn't contact me this way, or in this manner. Double checked and all is fine. My bank has been very good so far at spotting fraudulent debits. This looked like a local number so it could appear legitimate. I expect there was a number to press to connect with scammer. Despicable people.

I was called about funding plans and the gentlemen was very polite and we had a lovely chat about potential options. I didn't need the services at the time. However, I have since called the number back and enjoy conversations regularly.
