012 5555 4810 rings me regularly and keeps hanging up, they don’t leave a voicemail either. I no longer answer the landline phone, I wait till calls go into voicemail. I have told friends and family to leave a message and I will pick-up the phone as soon as I recognise the caller or the reason for the call or I will call back. They have called twice left message once and sent me two emails concerning a debt for plusnet. I contacted plusnet who confirmed no outstanding debt and that this was a scam.

It s quite easy to negate these types of calls by getting yourself a Call Line Identity phone. If the call doesn t display the name of someone in your tel address book, or shows number withheld, or out of area, or International let the answer machine do the work. You can then block the number or use phone settings to set your preferences - problem solved...

I keep receiving calls from this number despite blocking it - they sometimes phone up to five times a day! They always ask for Andrew, the idiot who must have mistyped his mobile number when downloading a report or who knows what from this "financial" crowd. I ve asked them politely to remove my number from their database ... to no avail. I ve said I m going to report them to the police if they keep calling me, which usually makes them put down the phone if I don t beat them to it!
