Called as I had gone over my limit on my card. They did hang up the first time they tried calling me which was annoying to which the adviser informed me that they are having issues with the auto dialler system. I believe Aqua credit also use a similar number.

Had previous calls about a proported car accident before from different numbers. I will log the number with TPS so it gets know more widely as one to block/ignore.

Said hello they hung up.

This number which is a Glasgow code, called and an indistinct, mumbled young female voice asked for me by name, said she was phoning from another mumbled company and had I had any accidents in my car in the last few years. I said no, and she said oh well then and hung up. Some kind of scam with bad line and mumbled names part of the act.

Phoned at 9pm.Considering we only had our phone line connected at 2pm today I was shocked at how they already have our number.

It's a Garstang (north west) number A claims company. They just rung me asking if I'd had an accident in the last couple of years

I bought a car from Bayliss Motors of Cheltenham and this was just a courtesy call. I didn't recognise the number so I checked it out before calling back. No problem.

Obvious scam. Said this is British Telecom, your phone and internet will be terminated unless you press button one and talk to a manager.

I know many people who will no longer answer their landline unless they recognise the callers number. It is businesses like IJT, boiler-room scams and PPI Claim companies who have changed the telephone from a useful tool and friend into a nuisance ridden pain in the arse. Well done everyone!

I keep receiving texts from this number telling me i have various amounts of money waiting for me as a result of a PPI claim - total scam!

The caller had old personal details for me (more than a year old), and was trying to find out if I d been missold insurance with a loan or credit card in the past. They have called several times.

This is the second time I have had a reminder for an Appointment supposedly from NHS no reply.However they leave this number.As I live in Hampshire and this code is Glasgow area...

Sent text message to my mobile claiming to be from BT - then asked name and BT number. I refused further information on the grounds that BT already have my address and was given some unbelievable story about my mobile number having come up in some other context. Two hours later, the same message arrived on my wife s mobile. Clearly some sort of scam but I do not know what.
