SCAM 01782259871 rang 29/07/23 09:22. Call centre from Microsoft. Told me I had a problem on my computer. This is an old scam! Told her I didn’t have a computer. Hung up and blocked number.
Automated call to say that there had been fraudulent activity on our bank account. Then gave 2 amounts. £250 and £1000. (or so).from Amazon. We have had 3 similar calls in the last 3 days. All from different numbers. No money has gone from our account and no bank name was given and therefore I presume that it was a scam.

I never take out maintenance contracts on anything as a matter of principle, as it generally works out cheaper to pay as you go, so I know this isn't true. Sales call, said were from O2. When asked how she had obtained my number, she was evasive. Asian accent, so thought it was from overseas. I am subscribed to the telephone preference service, so should not be getting marketing or sales calls. I cut them off and blocked.

Called about bitcoin, and said my number was associated with bitcoin purchase about 4 years ago. I did not even have this number that long ago. Sounded very shady, when I questioned what it was about they rushed to hang up saying that they would be in contact when they could prove it.

Call from Vodafone chasing payment, a normal call and my own fault for missing payment. Luckily Vodafone arrange a payment promise where you can pay later. They are very helpful on the line.

SCAM - Unsolicited call stating they spoke to me ages ago and implied I'd agreed to sponsor books for local school. Very slick, found out where my child goes and said 'headmaster will call you yo thank you'......then start pressurising payment over the phone and calling back daily. More needs to be done to shut these types of scammer down!!!

I have been telephoned this afternoon – apparently by EE – to tell me that I was getting a 45% discount on my bill for the next year? I was then passed on to a supervisor to confirm my email address – which I did. Claimed to be from British Gas, but wouldn't say the purpose of call before I gave my security details, which I never give to a caller if I'm unsure of their identity. My guess is genuine but still unsolicited call, and they shouldn't expect my security details.
This number called today at 07.36 and claimed to be from Microsoft. The person with an Asian accent told me my computer has been compromised and said have you herd of hackers. I asked for an email to confirm it was Microsoft but he reassured me it was and trust him he has details of my computer security number, we went round incircles a bit, then I put the phone down. 10secons later he called back asking why I put the phone down as I new he was genuine but called me from a different number02088884827.
