SPAM - Indian sounding man says he’s from internet security. Wanted me to download an App on my phone or laptop called Team Viewer QuickSupport - quickly realised it was a screen sharing app. Decided to hang up the phone and unplug my landline. Reported to BT and Fraud ActionLine.
Mr number tells me it was a missed call. No voicemail so I won't bother calling back.

A woman claimed to be calling from a company called MCA. She wished to talk to me about damage which occured to my car back in 2013, and the phone calls that I had subsequently been receiving. I advised her that a) my car wasn t damaged in 2013, and b) I hadn t had phone calls about the damage to my car - which hadn t occured! Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported with life insurance or financial offers - telemarketing in action. Did someone please answer this number?

Rang back off a different number and it was an automated message that said "You have been called by Simply Life Insurance. Not to worry - we will call you back another time" and then cuts out. Blocked!

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 7098710xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with silent calls/testing robocalls, PPI - insurance marketing calls and energy companies offers - wide scope call centre. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). People did they call you with the same or something new? I really don't answer unknown numbers and don't want to call them back...
