I have managed to confirm that calls from this number are from a company debt management company called Stephenson Drake (www.stevensondrake.com. They operate by automated cold calling your number. You will either hear silence or a message asking if you are having problems with debt. If you press 5 to speak to someone then you are cut off BUT your number is stored and you will receive a follow up call from them. This line should belong to some company, but no remark on internet about it. Haven't found any info for this one, does anyone have some experience with this number? Be aware if this number calls, it is for a shared costs, so better not to call back. Have checked also different formats of this number, but no luck. Had call from "Steven" claiming to be from BT, very similar to one I had last week, told him as such, and that I had checked out the last one with BT and he hung up whilst I was mid-sentence. If in any doubt call BT and they can tell you when you were last contacted by them, although they don t seem to be bothered about doing anything about these nuisance scam calls.

Definitely a scam. These calls use spoofed numbers but originate outside the UK. The scammers can spoof any number they want. Ignore it or block the number on your phone. Ref...
