SCAM. Caller pretended to be a big company with an unpaid bill. Did not understand my business or why I would owe money (I don't owe them, have never bought from them). I nicely explained I knew this was a scam and she was trying to steal money. She then OFFERED to delete my number from the database!

The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based. Automated call stating that £300 & £1,100 had been taken from my card. “Press 1 to cancel”. I pressed 1 to try and find out who was calling. Was told by a guy with a foreign accent that the call was from London Paddington. He asked the reason for my call and then asked for my full name. At that point I put down the phone and registered this number. Obviously this was a fraudulent call.

I was contacted by this number. A recorded message saying that £300 had been taken from my card for £300 to Amazon and also £1100 to another supplier I do not deal with. As usual with these calls I was asked to press different number. I immediately hung up and checked my accounts. to find nothing had been taken.

They will call you on whatsapp as whatsapp is known for being annonymous and their profile picture on whatsapp is some random model to make you want to pickup somw type of phone bill scam/fraud/SOME sort of scam 100% definatley DO NOT pickup if you are called by this number
