Call center lied saying we had requested update on BT Openreach became abusive and shouting after called out on lie, repeated calls afterwards immediately hung up on answer.
Fraud Called me at 8am and a robotic voice asked me to press one to be connected to an HMRC operative or else I would be arrested imminently. HMRC apparently do not ring up using automated voice technology, do not phone up to threaten arrest and are generally not phoning people unannounced at that time of day.
SCAM Caller claimed to be from Domestic insurance and the insurance on my electrical appliances was about to run out and they needed my card details to reinsure, After running my own appliance repair company for over 30 years, I wouldn’t be a very engineer if I need to insure my own appliances. Advised them what they could do with their policy!
Called my mobile but I did not hear it. Other call checker websites list this as a scam number (e.g. HMRC). I am going to block and report it

This is a very complex scam. They use Voice recognition software and series of recorded English female responses. NEVER GIVE ANY DETAILS RE YOUR NAME< ADDRESS OR ANYTHING. THIS IS FIRST RATE FISHING. KEEP them on the line for as long as possible so they don t have time to annoy others, especially the vulnerable. Its much more fun to wind them up than come off the phone annoyed...
