SImilar number to other scam calls had recently where they say they are an energy company-capitlising on the recent news. Said he was an energy something in my area. Yeah right. Like Bournemouth is my area. Guy didnt even stutter when I answered the call as Sperm Bank. Said no thanks and hung up immediately. Blocked the number.

I was called from this number and the caller was very insistent / pushy about the fact that I MUST be owed PPI compensation otherwise they would not be calling. They required bank / credit card details and when I said I had already received compensation from my bank, the call was terminated by them without explanation.

Basically they re a fishing company, poorly-paid scammers doing blanket cold calling asking "have you had an accident in past 3 years" (citing they have bogus "information at hand") until, inevitably, someone says "yes". Cue then a selling job about how they can claim compo for you (for a % price). Not a scam; just a sad reflection of compensation culture and call-centre mentality. Hang up immediately; or if you want to be arsey, engage person in pointless conversation (though it isn t really his/her fault)

I tried to explain that we didn t want calls from them. The bloke said "with all due respect mate we ve never rang you before". What a shithouse even though I told him we have been plagued by them. Call from man (no gentleman) with Indian accent who claimed to be from Microsoft Technical Department. When I jokingly replied that I was from Microsoft fraud department he ranted down the phone at me for 15 minutes in abusive language before he eventually hung up. I have had scam calls before but this one was downright offensive.
