Robotic call allegedly from AMAZON seeking your account information - BEWARE!
SCAM Saying they are calling from virgin media, about our slow Internet router. They will proceed to ask you to download a software on your pc and then steal any banking details and passwords. We end up having 10 of these calls a day, it's so frustrating. I end up laughing and saying some choice words or going along pretending I'm doing what they are asking. When I say I'm not with virgin media they switch and say they are an it department for all Internet providers. Do not fall for this!!!

I got a text from what looked like my bank (Santander), saying a lot of money was being taken from my account. It gave this number 03333443057 to call. I called, and they answered HSBC ! I said I thought I was calling Santander, they said I work for both banks (yeah, right!). I said let me have your name and department, I ll call my bank and ask to be put through to you, at which point they promptly hung up.
Call centre, 5 second delay when answered followed be noisy call centre background sound and a guy going straight into his sales pitch -NO THANKS!

There were no less than five calls from this number while I was out. I did not need to be told it was the criminals pestering me again as I have had so many of them. However it was confirmed next day when a call came from a slightly different number, 01614357985. Other sites informed me a large number of people had been called similarly. Called to speak to someone else. Told him no-one of that name ever lived here, and I considered his call to be a nuisance call. He then had the audacity to try a sales pitch! Slammed receiver down. Tried to return call to make a complaint, but constantly engaged. Www says company is bogus, so beware!

Despite me telling them the same each time they call-- that I am not interested in trading on stock markets, and have not traded for over 20 years!!
