I was called from this number today. I did not answer and they did not leave a message on my answering machine. The number that appeared initially on my telephone was not the same as this one. This is clearly a scam.

The call from this number was supposedly from BT saying my landline was to be cut off. I checked with my provider who confirmed this was a scam call as none of my service is from BT. My provider has referred the number to their specialist department for investigation.
Silent call, nuisance calls at all hours, no one speaks and hangs up. Suspect this is one of a number of Northwich phone numbers in some sort of new scam to get the recipient to call back.

SCAM/HMRC: You get a rather scary recorded message saying this call is from HMRC and if you don't press one then a warrant will be issued immediately. I disconnected the call as soon as I heard that.
