When I said I didnt believe him he offered to quote my computer security number and get me to type it in and if it didnt agree with what my computer said I could hang up and I would never hear from him again. I hang up.

I had a call today from an Asian male claiming to be from the Government Dep. of Income & Justice. (There is no such thing!)Said £ 4000 of overpaid bank charges had been recovered for me and did I want to know how to get hold of it. No, thanks - I requested his phone number and name of company and said I would contact the police. The number given was 020 34554098, so don t fall for this one!

The clue is in the number. Apart from inner city London, when last I looked, all UK numbers begin with 01. Clive, Peter, Brian Stephen etc are NOT popular names in India as these people would have you believe. The bottom line is a simple one, if you don’t recognise the number, don’t answer. They said they were called First Solutions. They mentioned a credit card, interest paid and PPI. I then asked not to continue with the call and asked to be taken off the mailing list. I vaguely remember speaking to this company a few months ago so I will see if they call back. I am unsure how safe this company is so I have rated it neutral for now

I have absolutely no connection with this firm. My guess is their number is being used in a scam.
this scam involves getting access to a persons computer controlling it and it works and is quite easy to perform the scammers use log me in rescue a tool used by guienune support companies but use it to gain access to your personal files they then download a FAKE ANTIVIRUS and tell you that the problem has been solved then they will bring you to a site where youl be asked to put your bank card details and various other personal details which they have no business of knowing in to the boxes then they hang up
