They said their number was 02032867657. They tried to get me to run something on my computer but I declined. They asked me to run something else to confirm my customer number and I declined again. They said if I didn't comply there'd be a court action against me but I still declined. When they rang off I rang BT straightaway and they confirmed it was not them and they said they would never ask for such a thing.

An electronic voice saying they were from BT and there was a problem with my Internet connection and to press 1 to get it resolved otherwise I would be disconnected. Put the phone down. It's still working!

There was a long delay in answering after I picked up and a crackly line suggesting this had been re-routed to an international call, the voice was not a native English speaker, possibly Asian but can't recall what he said. I just hung up.

This was an unsolicited call. The caller claimed to be from the Pensions Advisory Service. He claimed I had not had a pension revue in over 12 months and that I was, therefore, due a pension revue. The Pensions Advisory Service do not make unsolicited calls. I hung up.

I am moving from BT because of horrific service. I received a short automated message from BT - stating that they were taking over my line. I called to query this. The guy who answered verified my number, but it was not my number. I told him it was not mine and he abruptly hung up. I called back - the second call handler couldn’t understand the situation and became annoyed and hung up. My phone rung again and it was a scam call centre from abroad offering to cover my washing machine but I was to pay today.

Checked the number by calling it back to discover the number was incorrect and to check the number again. Double checked ! It appears they can now fake numbers that they are calling from!?? I had a call this morning from 01628 349218 stating it was BT's technical dept and my internet will be terminated today. I hung up. Then I received a call from this number about 20 minutes later but there was silence. Hung up immediately. Others have reported this number also has a recorded message about BT's technical dept.
