The caller said they have to inform me of £600 Fraud on my account and to select a button if it was me. It did not say who it was from or which bank it was from. I do not have a bank based in Burnley.

They are an Indian call centre who use spoof caller ID numbers. Do not trust them! Block them with a call blocker (you may need to block VOIP calls)or answer the call something like this: "This is the FBI - we have you surrounded! Come out with your hands up! All units - GO! GO! GO!" That should make them hang up!

Automated debt relief call - I hung up too soon to find out the name of the company. I ve no patience for this rubbish. I, too, am TPS registered - and my details are not listed on the version of the electoral register available for purchase, either. I suppose this shows how much good either does in preventing junk calls. I keep my landline unplugged when not in use as I receive so many PPI calls on that!
