Called me and said they are from HMRC contacting me regarding tax fraud and tax evasion I have committed and said that if I wont listen to what they have to tell me, arrest order will be issued within the next hour. I asked what exactly I have committed but got no answer and then I said I am pretty sure they are not from HRMC and asked to confirm my NI number. When I dialed the number, it was out of order, so it looks like this call was from an overseas number that was spoofing a UK dial-back number.

Had a call this morning from a man claiming to work for a company called "First Pass", asking about an RTA I was supposed to have been involved in. I asked how he got my details and requested that they be deleted from their data-base. I have never been in an RTA, and am on TPS to prevent cold-callers. He persisted in trying to obtain more information from me and when I refused to answer, he hung up. If they call again, I shall report them to Ofcom.
TAXES / HMRC Robocall allegedly from HMRC saying that they are about to take legal action against you and press one, leave your details to prevent legal action being taken. No human interaction whatsoever. When you try to call it back ( from a withheld number you get an immediate divert saying sorry calls can't be taken at this time or an unobtainable tone.

Had a call from this number yesterday. At the other end of the phone was a robotic recorded voice allegedly calling from HMRC to say that I had carried out fraudulent activity and that a warrant would be issued for my arrest unless I pressed 1 and followed the instructions. These people need to be hunted down and hung up by their dangly bits in my opinion. Real scumbags preying on the vulnerable!

I ve been getting several calls a day not just from this number, but from others, too - or sometimes they come up as "unavailable" or "international". All of them are from people with an Indian accent saying that they are calling to fix a problem with my PC and quickly become very rude when questioned. I have an answerphone, so have now stopped picking up. This is obviously some kind of scam

SCAM. Claiming to be from Virgin Media. Wanted access to my computer, to check my router. They did have my name and customer ID. I contacted virgin media, who informed me that they do not make such phone calls, unless we, the customer, requests it.
