I have TPS on my mobile but this number got through today. She said she was Julia from (didn t get company name) and I had recently been involved in a car accident. I said no I hadn t and to stop spamming me! Annoyed it got through as I am registered with TPS. Seems these scammers are getting cleverer!

Caller claimed to be from a government department in reference to an accident 18 months ago, and persisted even when I said our number was registered with the TPS. Fairly threatening, saying that if I didn t cooperate my son might be in trouble because his file would remain open .

5/6 calls every day for last week. No one there if I pick up. Don't know who they are now blocked.

Rang several times this week, have not answered and they have left no message.

This number called with message about "every house needs to be done by 2016" plus "we are in your area" last week - some solar panel scam. Didn t answer - the message is recorded on my answerphone. Same message from 01316483485 yesterday - same result. This lot have probably rented fake numbers from a major phone company which offers them on its web site. Some firms offer call centres numbers which give the person called the idea that it is a local call.

Its not just AO I just received a call from a young woman claiming to be from boots appliances, in the pretence of confirming delivery details etc. In fact her sole purpose was to sell insurance cover! She repeated every detail of my delivery, which I already know, told me they can remove my old appliance, which I already know etc etc etc then asked me why my old appliance was broken! All leading to the insurance pitch! These are badly scripted insurance sales calls! I am very disappointed that boots

I have received five calls today (all to my answerphone). The numbers were initially from Mumbai and finally ended with 01825 371251. No messages were left and it is my guess ...

Recorded message saying someone had just used my credit card for £600 in a foreign country and asked me to press 1.

Called back and got music on the line straightaway. Called back from my work phone using no withheld and call kept ending immediately
