Calling that 0800 number says they are Stellar a partner of BT, and to call BT on 0800 028 2272. Don t bother if you aren t on BT. They ll tell you "you aren t on BT, we have no record of you!". Another call from The People s Opinion representing the leading brands etc. London number but it s not: "Paul Connor" who in common with all his colleagues, had a heavy Asian accent, admitted that he was calling from South East Asia. Fraud - I received a text saying "Your parcel requires a £2.99 shipping fee, pay this now at royal.mail-transit.co.uk If not paid your parcel will be return." This was smart as I had last week mailed a parcel to Europe but I had it tracked so when I check my tracking number on the official royal mail website it said it had already been delivered.

Telemarketing
A woman claiming to be calling about energy research and deals available to us. We've been called many times by such companies who usually want to send round 'an energy assessor' for cavity and loft insulation. When I asked if it was a cold call and that we were registered with TPS, she said not at all so that wouldn't apply to her call (blatantly untrue). She feigned innocence very well and hung up - no doubt we will be called by them again, that's this kind of company's MO.
