SCAM . . . . . starts with a text "Where are you? I'm waiting for you". If you reply you will be marked down as a 'responder' and active with replying to texts (or even worse, possibly phone calls). Simply ignore it and block the number.

DANGER ! Definitely Spam. Lady with Indian accent as O2 customer service telling me they had received multiple complaints about signal problem. I said I was satisfied with signal coverage. She then tried to give me a number to call back. I challenged her and told her I thought she not not legit. She started arguing. I said a real customer agent would not argue like that. An Indian man claiming to be from Currys PC World who had an iPhone offer for me with for so and so a month, unlimited texts, I stopped listening at this point. I said no thank you, I don't want an iPhone and he hung up. Clearly nothing to do with Curry's, just some chancer trying his luck.

It attempted to get me to message the phone number via WhatsApp. The person had sent an SMS from another number (07566706069) claiming to have dropped their phone down the toilet and that they’d instantly acquired a new phone. They asked me to message specifically via WhatsApp (???). This is the fourth message I’ve had this week, from a variety of unknowns, being asked to message a new number by someone claiming to have lost/damaged their phone.
