These jokers called me today addressing me as "Mr Steven" I said where are you calling from? He said "Nationwide" I said "Really? Well then you should know that in Britain nobody is Mr first name either just use their first name or Mr with their last name". This confused my thickly accented Indian friend greatly but I think he understood me in the end. Just spoken to O2 regarding this number and the calls my wife had been getting. They confirmed that the number does belong to O2 and is not a scam, it is their Customer Research (for want of a better description) calling to ensure she was getting the right deal for her and to see if she wanted to upgrade, so I suppose they re Market Research/Sales. Perfectly safe to answer. If in doubt, just don t give answers to questions you feel uncomfortable about.
