SCAM - pretends to be from Microsoft saying computer has downloaded malicious software. Gets recipient to go to PC. Identifies PC/Mac by asking to describe keyboard. For mac uses Spotlight to launch console - didn’t run with it any further. Caller does know the name accociated with the phone number. Caller has strong asian accent with a regular uk name.
Recorded message claiming to "alert homeowners to a new government scheme..."etc. A scam and possible a dangerous one.

Called and asked for my husband. I said not available. The very well spoken gentleman asked to leave his number. I asked what it was regarding and he said the estate of *****. I was instantly suspicious as I had not heard of the company in relation to the estate. So I said I hadn t heard of them, he said because we have been speaking to ******. I said no you haven t I don t know you and hung up. Total scan husband fuming!

SCAM ... Indian who told me my Visa card had an attempt made on it to transfer funds overseas, originating from Western Australia. Started asking me if I also did transactions on the computer or internet with my account. I asked him why he needed to know that and he hung up.
Calls 2 to 3 times a week from a call centre, Asian accent asks how I am say's God bless you and hangs up.

Had a call from this number this morning. Man said his name was Mike. Yeah, right. Sounded very Peter Sellers. So whilst he s telling what to type, so he can access my computer, I went to Youtube and found The Halleluyah Chorus. He got it full blast!
Said something about being just about to email over financial trading reports for spread betting. When asked if they had the wrong number they hung up - presumably expecting me to call back.

SCAM FRAUD. I got a call from a 07 mobile number prior to this call. Both of them is an automated message saying a letter from HRM Revenue was sent to you but was returned. I got a call from them just couple minutes ago. The lady knew my name and address, I don?t know if postcode was right as she had really bad accent. She started to ask some stupid questions such as if I have Sky at home or washing machine. I just said bye. But she knew my details and it scares me.

Pretend to be BT engineer service, want to access and control your computer, be very aware.
Good company, great wine, swift delivery, personal approach with repeat customers. They phone every three months or so but are quite happy to be told we don t need any wine right now and be given a date to phone again. Nothing aggressive about their sales pitch and every now and again you get a nice free gift or extra bottle. They are the same thing as Sunday Times Wine Club.
SCAM Claim to be from BT Openreach with issues on the line. Asked for details of how connected to internet and then wanted to “fix the issue” When I asked who my ISP was and what company they worked for, he hung up.
