Asian-sounding man, claiming he was from TalkTalk, queried our Internet connection. As we're not with TalkTalk, simply put the phone down, and barred the number.

Called me claiming to be from Sky, informing me that malicious individuals are trying to hack my router. I played dumb and allowed them to get to the part where they wanted me to install TeamViewer to gain access to my computer. I gave them an earful about preying on vulnerable people, but it will have had zero effect; I just hope I cost them more money in call charges than they were expecting.

I think they tried calling last week, then again today to my unlisted mobile phone number (11th Nov). I answered, saying my name; there was a pause then an unintelligible garble for a few seconds and then they put the phone down!
