Just had a call from this number saying they were from National Accident Line. Definite scam. They were asking about an accident I had a few months ago and that I was due compensation. SCAM Call center Purported to be from British Gas. I had difficulty understanding what he was trying to tell me because of a strong accent, but he was suggesting a problem with my boiler thermostat? Then went on to talk about a maintenance contract to cover the boiler, radiators and electrical supply. I queried several times about his genuine employment by British Gas and he finally hung up the phone.

This company uses Voxbone SA (now called bandwidth) services to route calls from scammers. this is just one of many telephone numbers i have had call me trying to scam me and i receive up to six per day for the past few weeks. At the beginning I politely told them that i was not interested requesting them to take my number off their call list and now its straight FO. Sorry for generalising it but it usually an Asian woman or man.

Silent call on answer, rang the number back, got an American female recorded voice about online appliance servicing and to leave details to be called back. Had to ring twice to work out what the recorded voice was saying as it was spoken quickly, to the point it seems designed that way to mislead. I suspect these are some kind of call-back scam. Calls have come after interacting with Estate agents online, before that nothing except years ago, when the same thing happened after dealing with estate
