Cold call from Holiday Helpline

Rang up asking to speak to accounts about the business insurance, told them it was renewed in march. they then wanted to know who it was with and I said that Im not obliged to tell them and told them not to ring this number again but they probably will do

I know many people who will no longer answer their landline unless they recognise the callers number. It is businesses like IJT, boiler-room scams and PPI Claim companies who have changed the telephone from a useful tool and friend into a nuisance ridden pain in the arse. Well done everyone!

I ve been getting these car accident calls for about 10months, it s the same female voice each time. I ve previously tried reporting them to the TPS. Get them once-twice a week or every 1-2 months. Swearing at them seems to delay the next call.

nI live approx 2.5 hours away so assuming it s a SCAM or business canvassing

3 phone calls in 3 days from this no. Having searched this site and others to read reports of Windows scams etc. I decided to answer this one. An Asian man asked if I was Miss Christine. I said "Who? Who s calling?" He hung up, I didn t for another 3 minutes, so presumably prevented him from bothering someone else. Reporting to ICO.

I had a call from an immigrant this morning saying that they were from Microsoft, and that there was a big problem with my computer which they needed to fix. At this point I told them that they were too late, as someone from their number had already called me about the problem yesterday and fixed it for me.
