Got cold-called several times on my mobile by this number. Once I picked up it was a lady from sky trying to sell me some package. Not interested, I said. She kept calling several times. Don t they understand NO or what????????? What kind of job is this. Feel kinda sorry for the person who does this.

Called 11.30 in the morning. Very firm male voice. Claiming to came from HMRC. Message about tax evasion and said I or my lawyer should not ignore the call and call this number ...

This is a company to do with loans. They left me a voicemail but I didn't catch the company name.

On second reading - definitely - it is one digit short to be a genuine UK number.

I get calls from this number, when I asked where they got my number from was told the standard lie "opt-in data" or "they bought a list of numbers". These people are liars as they wanted to help me reclaim money IF i had taken out any credit - I have never taken out any credit so they are just trying their luck and calling anyone and harrassing them. I have ignored several calls from this number over the past few days. It is mentioned on http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Pay-monthly-services/scam/td-p/1663414 It might be someone marketing on behalf of Vodafone or just someone pretending to be Vodafone.

I ve had a couple of missed calls from 0845-0401256 on Wed 2nd Aug 17). I tried calling it back on my work phone (Skype) but the call wouldn t connect as the number isn t in service. Very dodgy if you ask me!

Indian sounding bloke, went on about the government scheme to reduce debt (yeah right) latest in a long line of people phoning up about the government scheme (the government scheme can t help me, mainly due to unemployment), yet they keep phoning me up & not listening

This number phoned me suggesting that I could claim ?3750 compensation for a totally bogus, non-existent accident that I never had. It s a scam, and these people are social pariahs. Scum of the earth. Should be thrown out of the country! When I tried to dial the number, it was unrecognised. So, totally bogus. Beware!!!!

I have just had a call from a lady from 01704 222222 claiming to work for Albany Assist and wanting to talk to me about the non fault accident I have had in the last two and a half years. I told her I hadn’t had one and the call ended. Reported to the real Albany Assist as per the request in this thread. Interesting that if you call the number back no one answers. Caller was a scouse female.
