A recorded message warned me that my bank account was to be charged to continue my membership of Amazon Prime after a free trial. I don't belong to Amazon Prime! I did not dial 1 as suggsted to speak to someone, particularly because although I do have an Amazon account my name was not given in the call. Phishing at best, access to my bank account possibly?

Called up at 7pm. Told my life insurance was awful And how it wasn t the right one for me. After what can only be described as border line bullying I went to speak to one of there "qualified" advisors. An automated message telling me it is from the Fraud agency and that my NI has been used in illegal activities, I do need to get in contact before I get arrested. Voice told me to press '1' I have not. I would expect a more direct and personal approach. I hope I am right
You say the number is based in Blackpool I know no one in that town. My number is TPS protected - for what its worth and my registration for the electoral roll, restricted.
Called at 0820, ignored it as not a number I recognise, no message left.

This is a scam number claiming that they are from the "financial markets" that will try and access your system through a remote access application. If they do not succeed this way they will attempt to take your card details including the security details on the back of your card.

This company are based in Brighton and are trying to get you to make charitable donations to various charities.... As I already donate to a charity of my choice I do not wish to be bothered by these types of calls. I m also signed up with TPS so shouldn t get them anyway... I found their direct number which is 01273 698697 and asked them to remove both my numbers from their database... Lets see what happens...

Yes, they are still operating and looks like they are having a New Year hunt for more people to con, as several friends have had calls from them over the past few days. I take great delight in stringing them along for as long as possible, listening to them get more and more frustrated as I keep asking questions about their blocking box . Had a phone number twice from slightly differing numbers but both commencing 07808166. Recorded msg informing me that my NI number has been compromised and to key 1 before legal proceedings are taken against me!!! Needless to say I just hung up - has anyone else received these calls?
