Its a trigger call for a malware scam. If you have the malware on your mobile overnight your phone will dial a premium rate number for up to 12 hours !!

It was a call from The Donkey Sanctuary call centre. I had previously donated after watching an advert on TV re. Mono the donkey

Man with Indian accent said his name was Michael. Claimed to be from BT Open Reach. (I didn’t think they were contactable) Local Shaftesbury number. He then asked me how I am today. It didn’t seem very professional. I felt uneasy about this so I rang off.
Calling persistently for a person who has never ever lived at this address ( at least not in the past 20 years! ). When I tell the indian call centre person this, as I do on each call, they then ask for the road or street number, which I decline to give them as they should know the details of the person they are calling for.

Fraud Tax number scammer
SCAM / SPAM Transaction of £600 made to foreign country half an hour ago. Automated call but doesn't say which bank - just to press 3 to talk to someone from your card provider. DO NOT RESPOND.
Attempted HMRC fraud by insinuating that the answerer is being investigated for tax fraud. Very dangerous.
Rang my mobile at 2.45pm, only rang a couple of times before cutting off. Not a number I know and I'm not expecting anyone from Berwick - on - Tweed in Scotland to call me!

They phoned me in January, February, March, April and today 1st of May 2018 ! lol Problem been their phoning an old dead number of mine, calls are logged (recorded) and any txt messages are forwarded to my new number. No web link or virus can be transferred to my new mobile yawn. Some times I miss the thrill of having to fight a virus on the old mobile "NOT" lol The old sim is NOT even in a mobile phone. I used a Go Compare website for insurances last week and now i get a lot of calls from this number. I believe in a connection of that. When i pick up the phone no one answers. Very strange!
SCAM Government grant for fuel allowance
Automated voice claiming to be from HMRC, informing of a tax fraud case and legal action. Gave absolutely no evidence. HMRC don't use automated calls for this.
On returning this call it was an automated response saying that as my phone contract was due to expire shortly they could offer info. on new handsets etc. Press 1 to remove from their database, 2 to speak to someone. On entering 1 you are requested to enter your no. then the hash tag. Upon doing this the line went dead. Hopefully I won t now start receiveing lots of Spam!

Fraud, call was an automated message claiming to be from HMRC. Claimed that a fraud case was open against my name and if I didn’t press 1 to speak to the claims officer, then an arrest warrant would be issued immediately.

This number is an accident claim company touting for business. They phoned and there was noone there, so returned their call and spoke to a guy in a call centre. He asked about a collision we d had in our vehicle, however we haven t had a collision in our vehicle. He said they get the numbers from insurance quote websites when someone has ticked that they have had an accident in the last 3 years.
SCAM - blocked and reported. Third one today from a number in the same location. They're more likely to run out of phone numbers before I ever answer the phone!
