When I answered there was a bit of noise on the other end, then suddenly the person muted the call. I need the call too and after a few more seconds hung up. Feels like a scan to me.

Missed call - Would say is unsolicited call. Did not recognise the number. When looked up it’s not connected to any company, personally I’m not waiting for a phone a call from Manchester as I’m from a different area in the UK. No reason call me and no voicemail or message left. Saw on different website it would cost to call back.

Junk mail from HSBC linked firm. First to mobile, then called house line. I have not given my number/details to any firms/surveys/shops/ other organisations since Jan 2015, when I stopped work to look after the kids. This week I updated details with HSBC for their online documents BS and today I had 2 junk marketing calls. Fraud - spoofed telephone number almost certainly from Indian call centre of fraudsters. Asking if you want your Amazon Prime subscription cancelled otherwise £79 will be debited from your account. You are instructed to go to your computer and press [Windows + R] key and type "anydesk" and press enter. Then you are to search Google for "anydesk". These types of call happen pretty much daily to my BT landline. It is time the telephone companies got a grip and develope
