Claimed to be calling from "auto repair centre" offering 40% off. Wanted to confirm the phone number he'd just called me on, but when I asked instead "40% off what?" he got confused and hung up.

SCAM This is a scam call claiming to be from Microsoft and telling me that my computer is highly compromised and they need to secure it. Yet they called my nans old landline which I wanted to keep when they house was sold following my uncles death so I had it redirected to my phone. Just received a call from this number from an articulate young man who attempted to argue with me when I questioned who he was and shouted over me rather than listening to what I was saying. It was apparently something to do with green energy and saving me money. I said I did not deal with cold callers and asked him not to ring again as he could not save me money as my energy bills are fixed but he said I did deal with cold callers as I had answered the phone! It was altogether a very unpleasant call.
This is a phishing exercise claiming to be Amazon subscription.

they called me twice no caller id claiming to know the last four digits of my card, part of my address (which was wrong) and saying i made a transaction on the weekend which i did not, they sent me a code and it said to add my card to their apple pay, so obviously they were trying to take my credit card details and commit fraud on my account, they kept saying im verified my identity they then went silent when i said ill call my bank, called bank and they said yep my account is secure and that was a phising.

The caller had a very thick south Asian accent and claimed to be from "my network" - I didn't catch which one - and that I could benefit from an "offer". I cut the call and blocked the number.

Called today 21.07.23, Indian sounding call centre claimed they could save me 30% of my O2 bill, I am not with O2, and when I asked where they found my number they said it was from a generated call list. My phone has the function of bringing up the business name when a call comes through, so when I proceeded to tell the caller that the actual call seemed to be coming from Gibb & Evans, he became a little confused! Had three uninvited calls from this unknown caller. I don't respond to such calls. If they are genuine they can leave me a voicemail (but they don't, of course!) and I can call back if I choose. Suspect it's a scam call so have blocked the number!
