The call from this number was supposedly from BT saying my landline was to be cut off. I checked with my provider who confirmed this was a scam call as none of my service is from BT. My provider has referred the number to their specialist department for investigation.

Spam call about first page listings on Google, when I explained we were already on the first page for the search value he was offering he actually had the gall to argue with me about it. Liar and scammer. Don't waste your time picking up. Also who in their right mind calls a business to speak to the owner and is hesitant when you ask for a reason why to give you one? Had a text message saying that there was fraud on my account and then to call it. I called my bank and they told me it was a scam to try and get details from you to take money through your telephone banking. Don’t call this number!

The man with a distinctly foreign accent said that he was from a Broadband provider that uses the 4G network £25 a month for 18 months. But what put me off was as soon as he had finished his schpeel he asked without prompt for my bank details. I said I would get back to him next week when I had done some research into the company.
