Got a call from this number at 13:00 today. No message left when my answerphone kicked in. Tried a call-back, as it is a relatively local Hull exchange number but guess what - The number is unrecognised. Yet another telepest. Number now barred on my system.

I am registered with TPS and would never consider buying from a company that refuses to respect that request for privacy. Apart from anything else, a lack of respect for the law in this one respect suggests they may be less than law abiding in others (e.g. building regulations!). Reports on other "nuisance call" sites confirm this firm is best avoided.
Was from a Gary Walker claiming to be from my insurance company. In actuality it was from The Cotswold Group who are Private Investigators for insurance companies. This nows seems to be standard practice when making a claim and another method for insurance companies to try and get out of reimbursing you. I have been told by an insurance company that they use a phone based lie detector, which is completely useless. Lie detectors are not admissible in court because their results are not consistent.

Indian guy called Frank (NOT!) called to get details from me. He had my name and address (which I didn t confirm) but was evasive when I asked what the company is so I hung up. Certain this isn t bona fide.
This is a computer scam. I played along in order to waste their time and to get insight into their methods. There is a warm-up act and a main act to follow. Their first tactic is to say they will cut off your computer unless you cooperate. They take you to Event Viewer administrative events in order to show you a scary page with yellow warning triangles and red error messages. Then to another caller for their main strike. A Company called "TheFull Financial.co.uk" claims it can claim on my behalf over ?11,0000 as a result of misselling of a half interest half repayment mortgage I took out in 2003.
