Phoned 14h00 GMT 05/02/20 claiming to be on behalf BTOpenreach. Had I noticed slow broadband speeds; were my modem lights flashing; what colour were they? AT this point I told him (male, Indian/Asian accent) That I thought he waas wastng my time. I heard him shouting at me as I was hanging up.

Called & 130 am disturbing my sleep, sounded like a recorded message referencing banks, I promptly put phone back on receiver.
Fraud. This number came from my mother's WhatsApp account informing me that she had changed her number to this one. She had not. Phone goes straight to voicemail. I have put this as fraud as they are fraudulently representing themselves as someone I know.

Claimed to be calling from the FSCA about the 'ForEx' company which I had an active claim against. I hung up...
Fraud The usual "Your BT internet and phone has been compromised and will be cut off in 24 hours" even though I'm not with BT. Followed up by wanting to download remote control access programmes on my laptop. I just feigned interest to leave them hanging on as long as possible; whilst they are hanging on waiting for me they aren't scamming somebody else.

I recieved text from this number - claimed to be a Royal Mail message saying they were holding a parcel for me that had a surcharge - it asked me to use a link to arrange delivery. I went to the Royal mail tracking website which said it did not recognise the tracking number they gave. The phone number does not seem to be a Royal Mail number. I concluded it is a scam.

Recorded message from the 'Bank Security centre' (apparently one bank security centre for all the banks....) reporting unusual card activity, £300 to Amazon & £1000 internationally, press 1 to cancel, 2 to speak to operative... this person called used the name of the person who answered ( my dad ) and when he questioned who he was the caller slammed the phone down.. re trace gave the number of 01271 42169 but when we rang it back it says it doesnt exist. An aggressive and persistent man called Solomon cold called and said he had information that we were paying too much for our phone and got quite angry and indignant when I said I was reluctant to swap from BT to National Business. I hung up and wish I hadn t bothered to listen in the first place.
I have just had a call from a lady from 01704 222222 claiming to work for Albany Assist and wanting to talk to me about the non fault accident I have had in the last two and a half years. I told her I hadn’t had one and the call ended. Reported to the real Albany Assist as per the request in this thread. Interesting that if you call the number back no one answers. Caller was a scouse female.

This company will ask to speak to owner of the business, then they will say that they are updating you on the support you gave for in my case a school, they will then tell you the info pack you agreed to has now been printed and sent and your bill is £££. Just persevere and refuse any claims they make that you 'apparently' agreed to and they will hang up. I just said I don't do any sort of support or external advertising.
