A guy said he was from some sort of accident helpline, calling about an accident I may have been in. When I said I'd not, he then asked if anyone else in my family might have been..........aren't these unsolicited cold calls meant to be illegal?

Why would the bank be calling you though? A bank will only ever send a letter, they should never call! Do not give them any details, even if they have some already, they just need or two more from you to be able to take your details!
