Fraud SCAM Fraud call that stated my card had been used for two large transactions of £300 Amazon and £1100 international payment. Automated message sounds like it is from the bank, but did not state name of bank, or cardholder. Used another phone to call the number back (out of curiosity). Mobile network sates it is an invalid number, and call made from Ireland, with a London code?

Phone was off but had a missed call from this number and HUGE reported on line concerns from people about it. It worryingly coincides with DAILY Phishing e mails for past 3/4 months reported to report@phishing/ICO and Microsoft. I get calls from this number, when I asked where they got my number from was told the standard lie "opt-in data" or "they bought a list of numbers". These people are liars as they wanted to help me reclaim money IF i had taken out any credit - I have never taken out any credit so they are just trying their luck and calling anyone and harrassing them. They are just cold calling people with the hope of conning you - do not share your information with this outfit. What I do is when I have a spare minute I WITH
Calls up to 3 times a day every day - then a break of a week and starts again. Automated message for unknown person. Press 2 to confirm I am not the person named - but the message says pass a message on to the person that I do not know. Calls have come early morning and evening. In desperation bought a call blocking phone. They are still trying to get through but at least I am not disturbed by them any more. But an expensive solution.

I have ignored several calls from this number over the past few days. It is mentioned on http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Pay-monthly-services/scam/td-p/1663414 It might be someone marketing on behalf of Vodafone or just someone pretending to be Vodafone.

The same recorded message about them "urgently trying to contact me". Energy related, mentions solar panels too, and concludes by saying they are UK based and government funded. The recording always states that you can press 2 to talk free to their adviser, but I never do in case this is redirected to a premium-rate number. I ve reported it to the ICO numerous times. Sometimes the same message arrives without a return number. Wish I knew how to stop this.

this person called used the name of the person who answered ( my dad ) and when he questioned who he was the caller slammed the phone down.. re trace gave the number of 01271 42169 but when we rang it back it says it doesnt exist. Colin, it's more than a nuisance. It is actually illegal to make a silent call. This should be reported to Ofcom.

Very Heavily accented caller on a poor line which I suspect originated overseas. Purporting to be from the number blocking department of my phone line provider offering to stop all the Spam phone calls I had been receiving recently. Asking for banking information. When challenged was unable to provide even basic information to me and hung up.
