Queried how got my number ‘in our database’. Kept asking who are you and what do you want. They ended the call
Call me almost daily on a different number every time - hang up when I ask them to stop calling me.
Rang twice did not answer it dialled 1471 to find out number
Said they were Mcafee support, handling issue relating to our home "network" which would mean all devices using network (he meant router) would shortly become infected and stop working. Wanted £200 to fix, as our Mcafee didn't cover "network". Said we'd call back and given this number. Subsequently checked with Currys who support some of our tech who confirmed it's a scam

Call from man (no gentleman) with Indian accent who claimed to be from Microsoft Technical Department. When I jokingly replied that I was from Microsoft fraud department he ranted down the phone at me for 15 minutes in abusive language before he eventually hung up. SCAM Indian woman called re broadband speed and insisted I checked my broadband speed NOW told her wasn't been told what to do by her. Kept her talking for 4/5 minuites before she hang up. At least stopped her scamming someone else for a little time.

These jokers called me today addressing me as "Mr Steven" I said where are you calling from? He said "Nationwide" I said "Really? Well then you should know that in Britain nobody is Mr first name either just use their first name or Mr with their last name". This number shows as International and 01274792012... Said it was a quick survey, I asked where they got my details from and they said public source. They knew my name, address, postcode and phone number. Fairly obvious that they are identifying opportunities for onward selling. I think the only reason I have a home phone these days is for junk/spam calls. Another one for the block list.
