This number connects to a company claiming to be HMRC but you cannot call this number it will call u and connect. They will say you have outstanding tax due and try and get a payment from you over the phone.. they will even send emails with fake letters from the revenue to back there case. These are scammers.....

SCAM Caller said they were from Amazon and that I would have a high payment charged monthly (£79.99) unless cancelled and the caller was going to "help me" cancel my Amazon Prime subscription. After some arguing (as she tried to get me to stay on the line), I hung up and checked Amazon website going through their online chatbot. Just called my mobile. I didn t answer but checked the number online 01225 282329 to see who they were. Found this website and comments. Called them from a landline, immediately explained to person who answered that I d received a missed call, that I d checked them up online and didn t want any further calls, and to remove my mobile number from their calling list. The man who answered was responsive immediately, polite and asked for my mobile number. Fingers crossed ....

Missed call - unsolicited. Number does not accept incoming calls - suspicious.
Caller identified himself as energy savings company in Great Yarmouth, and asked if I was home owner. I told him I d had a call from them a week ago and had said I wasn t interested in solar panels. He then tried to interest me in energy savings from govt scheme for new efficient boilers. Repeatedly offered me a free evaluation which I declined, then he hung up (politely) when he saw he wasn t persuading me.
Telemarketing Possibly telemarketing, possibly a scam/fraudulent. A woman called (I'd missed a call yesterday) and told me she was from a company whose name I didn't catch - she wouldn't repeat it. After I made it clear she hadn't got my number from 'a page' I signed up to, and asked for a call from, she berated me for wasting HER time 'because I'm working'.... Refused to say where she got my number from, carried on getting pissy and eventually hung up. After wasting a lot of MY time: she cold-called me!

Fraud Told me there was an unknown payment trying to come out of my bank account. It was going to be frozen but I needed to get a new sort code and account number. Asked me to make a new payee transfer and transfer money over to have a safer account.
