Like another person wrote on here, I said no to the insurance on the website, the person was friendly enough and accepted no thanks, but I didn t consent to my number being used in that way, only for delivery info (i.e. time slot) to be given. Always ask them security questions, they got the order number correct and I don t know if there is a scam where they say they ll take away the old appliance for free, and then somehow charge you or possibly sign you up for insurance even though you said no, idk. SCAM: Received a text to my mobile , supposedly from MY BRITISH GAS saying ' We were unable to accept your amount due, visit mybritishgas-uk.com to update'. Looked it up online, as I'm NOT with British Gas, and yes, it's a phishing text to get your bank details. Apparently the site it leads to is very realistic, and people have been caught out. Seems there is an email version too. Number blocked!

I have received several calls to my mobile from this number recently. If I don t answer the phone, they don t leave a message and when I do answer it the caller appears to hang up. I am wandering if it is SPAM or a wrong number (but surely if the latter they would have left a message for someone else or spoken to me and discovered the error). I ve noticed several Manchester numbers being associated with unwanted calls to EE customers and wonder if this number is also being used by the same people/company.
