call claiming to be HMRC. its a scam!

01904301992 trying to sell energy, lady was polite when I declined, she asked why, said not the bill payer, and she said fair enough.

I have just been called by this number who immediately wanted to take me through security! All sounded very legit but just something in the back of my mind made me think that anyone could call up and start asking for my date of birth etc etc and why would I give that info to a complete stranger!!! I told them they needed to write to me instead (he said they already had - ha, ha) and then put the phone down. Looked up this number and guess what - loads of people who have had calls from the same number!

No idea who it was, called the number back and the number appears to be a defunct. as a precaution block the number and avoid as likely to be a spam.

He claimed to be an investigator from the HNRC who was investigating tax fraud under my name. I told him that he was wasting my time and tax payers money as the claims are unfounded.

Getting repeted calls upto three times a day all trying to tell me im entitled to ppi. Ive been patient, silent, rude but nothing seems to deter these people. Really think they should stop wasting their money on repeatedly calling the same number to get the same answer. Think next time I answer the phone ill answer it as department of internal fraud and see if that makes a difference. Im ex directory and am still puzzeled as to how they know my name.

Have been ringing me roughly once a month for years over a non-existent debt. Thankfully I have a truecall device, so they never get through, they just show up on the incoming call logs.

I keep receiving calls from this number despite blocking it - they sometimes phone up to five times a day! They always ask for Andrew, the idiot who must have mistyped his mobile number when downloading a report or who knows what from this "financial" crowd. I ve asked them politely to remove my number from their database ... to no avail. I ve said I m going to report them to the police if they keep calling me, which usually makes them put down the phone if I don t beat them to it!
