I called the number back got through to a recorded voicemail advising it was not a sales call, it was a market researcher working on behalf of EE - I am an EE customer so seems legit.

Had a liverpudlian girl called Lucy call me just from 01704222222, said she was calling from Alderley Assist, got the usual call centre spiel, had my name on file which I confirmed. I asked her what I could do for her and to cut to the chase as I was busy and got a mouthful of abuse being called and ugly [email protected] and other nice names. This was a non call with no response when I answered the phone. The number is not recognised if you try to return the call. I object to this type of marketing activity not least...

This number called 5 minutes ago. Silence on the other end. I am ex directory and am always careful when ordering goods on line to either tick/untick boxes re marketing. Annoying!
