The lady basically said that my fibre-glass wool loft insulation is no longer valid and they in my area tomorrow doing surveys in the neighbouring roads. I said that I was in the property business and I have not heard of this and I would need to look into it. And guess what he phone went dead. How rude, not even a goodbye.

SCAM - Seems to be a call centre as noisy line. Tried to obtain bank details etc under false pretences, alleging an engineer from BT has detected problems on my home landline and that without rectification I could incur £+ costs but if remedial action is taken quickly charges may be reduced. I asked for their engineer and departmental details but got nowhere so advised would call BT myself and the caller rang off. One for OfCom and other authorities.

Indian Scam Callers pretending to be from Carphone warehouse, block the number!
Paypal scam - posing as a Gumtree buyer . He/she will reply to anything you have for sale on gumtree. They send you a text but then ask you to reply to a moody email address. The one they gave me was [email?protected] and the number they used was +44 141 280 7229. Clearly foreign (poor use of English) and also clearly retarded - lack of understanding of gramma and spelling. Stay well away.

SCAM by recorded voice saying they were HM Revenue & Customs and a tax fraud had been reported. Say to press 1 to discuss with the officer. If I didn’t press a number to be connected I woukd soon be arrested. Obviously pressing any key will incur huge charges or they will try to get you to give personal information etc. My number is really private so I wonder just who sold it to these scammers?
When I asked if this was a nuisance call I got a lot of foul and abusive language - beware !!!

TAXES / HMRC States that an arrest warrant has been issued in your name due to avoidance of taxes etc.. I believe this to be a scam call, which I am totally sick to the back teeth of. Number has been blocked on several occasions but somehow manages to get back through.

This number called saying, in a computerised American voiced message, that it claimed to be from HMRC, that I was under investigation and that I had to call another number to pay. Definitely a scam.

Text Message received supposedly from HMRC saying I had a tax rebate pending and to calculate log into gov.uk-approve.org. I don't think so!!!
