I am getting regular silent calls from this number even though I am registered with the TPS. I have now tracked them down and the number belongs to a supposedly reputable charity fundraising organisation. I say supposedly reputable since no genuinely reputable company would make such a nuisance of themselves, especially on TPS registered numbers. I have stopped answering these suspicious calls for the time being - too busy. As with the one I received at the same time yesterday, when I was having breakfast, I concluded the caller was another criminal trying to persuade me to give them access to my computer so they could infect it. That is because the majority of the calls I get are of that nature. The likelihood was all the greater because, like yesterday s call, it was purportedly from an area where I do not know anyone.

Do not answer from this number, potentially dangerous. Lady claiming she was from Virgin media. I explained that I'm not with them (she tried to argue I was) and eventually asked me if I was 'stupid or something' and then hung up. Probably will want to take personal details.

As of writing, 3 different numbers tried to call me today (020 8956 2943, 020 8956 2230 and 020 8956 2601). They all start with 020, I don’t know anyone who owns those numbers, maybe the same individual is using different numbers to call me. Likely a fraud and now it’s harassing.
