Automated/Silent call. One of a series of calls from mobile numbers starting 077 in the space of a few days. Answered first call, where automated voice said "Your Amazon Prime membership has just been renewed at a cost of £79.99. If you want to cancel this payment, press 1". SCAM Had a number of calls recently offering a new iPhone. I don't use or like Apple products so they are wasting their time. 2 calls yesterday from 01208 247201 - missed the 1st, but they rang again withing seconds. As suspected, another iPhone scam call. That block of numbers is owned by Franzcom Telecoms in Bodmin, Cornwall. Something needs to be done to prevent these foreign scammers spoofing UK telephone numbers.

LAdy pretending to be from telephone preference service, gives you your name, address and postcode. Then says preference service rewuires you to renew your membership giving the existing Debit card details. Then asks for the details - I refused. At this point line went dead.

SCAM- Claimed to be a tax refund. If you click the link in the text, the site does appear to be GOV.uk website, built exactly like it but the other links on the page don’t take you anywhere, therefore they are just after your card details, be careful.
Been getting dozens of these calls since I visited uswitch.com three weeks ago. Whenever I register with one of those sites I always am careful to tick, or untick, any boxes that instruct them NOT to contact me. Haven t received any emails so somebody is selling my details on, or they are just B4stards!
