here is evidently another round of these tiresome calls, claiming to be from a law firm , regarding an alleged minor car accident. From the accent, it is probably from the Sub-Continent and clearly rather sadly fraudulent. Ignore all protestations to the contrary.

Lady called this morning to say I agreed to putting books into schools for safety campaign. Same as some of the other people here have stated. Said I confirmed it in March. I hung up and blocked. Its just another of those boring scams.

The same company has been call blocked on at least 20 different numbers, they keep changing numbers every few days, when i get through to one of them and tell them to take me off their calling list they are rude and hang up, scum of the earth! Company needs heavily fining!

Tom or Chris? Phoning from Leeds saying he would be in Brighton area next week cleaning gutters (really?!) and wondered..... Told him our gutters all fine and blocked number.

Follow up call from FGW Customer Services, updating me on my complaint.

Female caller, Indian accent, gave name something like Mindy, claimed to be from Talk Talk. Obviously long delays between exchanges, nothing like usual UK call quality.

Rang my mobile briefly and then stopped. No message left. Probably trying to tempt me into calling them back. An unknown number and unsolicited. I ve recently had calls of this type daily around the same time and they re always from telemarketers or accident claims hawkers, so draw your own conclusions about this one. 0800 012 3123 is a scammer claiming to be from Aberdeen (the finance company?), asking for bank card details.

Said, "Not trying to sell you anything", then asked how I get my TV service e.g. Sky, Virgin, Freeview etc. I told him I don t do surveys, then he rang off.

I had an absolutely identical phone call as Joanne. Number is from Credit Research and now blocked.

These people whoever they are annoy me no end. You answer the call ... They hang up! I block the caller but they still come back using a different, although a similar number!

Had the very same thing on this number 016188182004. Indian accent from a call centre, passed on to "manager". Told them them I knew what they were up to and that they were ringing from India. Don t give them any information and put the phone down.

They keep calling me from different numbers, but I block them. They keep leaving an automated computer voicemail. Almost every day they call for a debt that is over 7 years old.

When answered, caller said that they just want to ask me four quick household questions. They did say their company name, but I didn t catch it. I replied "no thank you" and I hung up.

Julie Smith from some company asking me to confirm the accident I was involved in that wasn t my fault. I hung up!

This company are based in Brighton and are trying to get you to make charitable donations to various charities.... As I already donate to a charity of my choice I do not wish to be bothered by these types of calls. I m also signed up with TPS so shouldn t get them anyway... I found their direct number which is 01273 698697 and asked them to remove both my numbers from their database... Lets see what happens...

They ring up to 5 times a day most calls silent but when they do speak its with a strong asia accent its really annoying we too are on tps begining to think they have somthing to do with it as they are not stopping them

Keep ringing! Have repayment plan in place - have now blocked number but unfortunately call still appears on other phones around the house. Twice daily calls - very annoying

Virus on my Windows. Managed to keep them on the phone for 43 minutes whilst doing some cleaning. Oh the abuse when everything he asked me to do didn t work.

I picked up the phone and the caller hung up immediately.
